the way we're building software is changing. fast.
in the future, we won't write software.
we'll describe our goals, and the software will describe itself.
tokens are getting cheaper, models are getting better, and the idea of "writing code" is starting to feel outdated. not because coding disappears, but because it gets abstracted away like assembly language before it.

## what's coming

software won't be something you build, it'll be something you ask for.
it's personal. ephemeral. purpose-built for a moment, then gone.
one user wants a dashboard, another a chatbot, someone else a weird mix of both, and they'll all get what they need, instantly.

## what that means for today

we're not shipping apps anymore.
we're laying bricks. tiny, composable systems that can be reused, adapted, remixed.
you're not writing logic.
you're designing affordances for ai.
a button isn't just a button anymore. it's a signal, something the agent can pick up, understand, and maybe even regenerate next time, differently.

## how we should build

keep everything modular. make every piece small enough that an ai can reason about it.
don't hardcode behavior. describe it.
build interfaces that make sense to machines, not just humans.
focus on the grammar, not the paragraphs. define the rules, not the final copy.
you're a system designer.
a context architect.
you're not solving problems, you're building the conditions under which problems solve themselves.
this is early days. it's messy. half of what we're doing now is gonna feel dumb in two years. but that's fine.
we're not coding apps.
we're building the scaffolding for ai-native software.
tools that build tools. seeds for infinite things.
just keep building and creating.
